Gloucester 2016
Pauline and I attended a wedding of good friends in Gloucester. I had never been to the Atlantic in New England. My experience has always been on the beach with sand, not rocks. This is such a beautiful part of the country. We stayed at a hotel in Bass Rocks. We had the ocean right outside our windows. Pauline loved it. We drove into Rockport, and spent a day seeing the coast and the shops in the village. I was able to walk to Good Harbor Beach. What a beautiful and unusual place. I was able to spend two mornings shooting on the beach, mostly abstracts in the water, mud and sand. I had the thought while I was shooting, that if someone was watching me, they would have thought I was nuts. I was on the beach for hours, shooting directly down into the ground. I was able to capture some of the most unique abstracts; light was offered up those mornings like a gift.
